Sigrid Louise, based in Haarlem, is a contemporary artist renowned for her expressive, abstract paintings, rich of texture. She consistently integrates metallic elements in her paintings that catch the light, embodying her belief that everyone needs a little bit of light in a sometimes dark world.


Sigrid began her painting journey in a challenging period in her life, where self-expression became a necessity.  It offered her a means to let go and experience colouring outside the lines. Her painting technique involves heavy layering. Sometimes because she wants to, and sometimes because it doesn't feel right, and she starts over. The desire to reset and restart reflects her needs in daily life. To be able to just start over sometimes. In her paintings, that is exactly what she can do.
