Acrylic on canvas

One of the very first creations by Sigrid, this piece emerged from a spontaneous burst of emotion and frustration. On her journey toward healing, she generously applied paint to the canvas, yet nothing truly resonated. Ultimately, she made the bold choice to begin anew, enveloping the entire piece in a vibrant yellow. From there, she began to layer other colors: the fiery red symbolizing anger, the earthy brown representing calm and recovery, providing a sense of grounding. As light began to filter into the palette, a touch of white joined the ensemble. In the end, the process of mending everything felt truly restorative, giving rise to one of her earliest artworks. Sigrid cherishes this piece as a powerful reminder of the potential to start anew. Nothing is ever truly lost; there’s always the opportunity to try again.
